Just got some new stamps from Donna Downey Studios http://www.donnadowney.com and wanted to try them out! (I used one on the right hand side; the today stamp on the left is from Heidi Swapp.) I was busy making more background for my ATC cards, so I just used the excess paint from that.

A long weekend gave me some more studio time! Here's an art journal spread, an art tile, a mini canvas and 2 ATCs.

 

Art Journal - Anything Can Happen

I was working on the backgrounds for some of the cards in the ATC 52 series, and made an art journal spread and some other pieces while I was at it!

I think I did so much this week because I only did my one ATC last week. I'm also in the mood to experiment, and most of today's work was playing around with black backgrounds, testing out different color blends.

I keep coming back to this color combination... something about it always seems to work, whereas other colors aren't thrilling me lately. Maybe it's the difference of color blending between watercolor and acrylic that takes some getting used to. I just know that when I use these colors, I almost always love the result! Here's another art journal spread, with an art tile, mini-canvas and a couple of ATCs.

I worked on multiple pieces again this afternoon, but haven't finished the ATCs and mini-canvas yet. They may need some reworking; I was experimenting and wasn't quite happy with how they turned out. But I did get a nice art journal spread and art tile done today.

Art Journal - You're A Star

Since I switched from a 365 project to a 52 project, I've been getting into the habit of having several pieces in motion at a time... it doesn't let any paint go to waste and it gives me several coordinating pieces! So this week, I ended up with an art journal spread, an art tile (4x4), 2 ATCs and a mini-canvas (3x3).
